Matthew Lane

Matt is a Founding Partner at 325X, a UK Venture Studio focused on early-stage defence technology and cyber, and is passionate about supporting the growth of businesses in related sectors such as communications.  He draws from his background in supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional casework including work with UK Government entities and their overseas partners on their covert cyber requirements, open-source intelligence gathering (‘OSINT’), computer forensics, unconventional cyber operations as well as counter terrorism and national security mandates.

Matt notably co-founded and co-led the cybersecurity start-up X Cyber Group, a specialist provider of OSINT data focused on people-related risks. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network on Cybersecurity, and was a top-recommended professional in the Spear’s 500 for Security, Intelligence & Investigations.

In his spare time Matt privately trades in fine and decorative art, when he’s not walking his endlessly energetic Jack Russell Terrier.
